Position Purpose:
The primary function of this position is to coordinate the activities related to engaging members in career and workforce development opportunities designed to promote their growth both personally and professionally. This position provides critical facilitation, development, and coordination of the broad goals of the Professional Development team and HIMSS by working with various levels of employees internally and volunteers, members and customers externally.
This is a temporary positon to cover for someone who is going out on leave between June 2 and August 22. It is a great summer job for a undergrad/grad student, teacher, or anyone who would like to bring a little extra income over the summer!
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates internal and external meetings and deliverables; calendar invites, agendas, notes, metrics reporting, and any necessary follow-up activities. Serves as a liaison to ensure timely communication between all involved parties.
- Coordinates HIMSS career and workforce related community activities (e.g. assisting in the facilitation and execution of activities related to content generation including, but not limited to; articles, blogs, podcasts, webinars, posters, newsletters, coordinating webinars and events, documentation review, metrics reporting, customer/participant communications, etc.).
- Coordinates HIMSS career and workforce development opportunities. This work may be completed independently by HIMSS or in collaboration with external organizations. For these programs coordinates and/or facilitates marketing activities, scheduling, registration activities, gathering and maintaining participant data, course content development and updates, LMS administration, digital badging, collaborator/customer/participant inquiries and problem resolution, and course close activities (e.g. certificate production).
- Coordinates and contributes to special projects, including new program growth initiatives, such as conferences, events, programs, or the introduction of new technologies.
- Utilizes and maintains current knowledge of all HIMSS technologies including, but not limited to, Personify, Adaptive Insights, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Wrike, Litmos, Checkbox, and others.
- Responsible for customer service for career and workforce development products. Responds to internal and external communication by monitoring email, phone calls, and other forms of communications.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the department and to accomplish strategic goals and objectives of the organization.
