About the Internship

This internship will provide the student with the opportunity to apply classroom learning in real world applications and engage with clinicians and IT professionals in the advancement of nursing informatics strategies.  The Informatics Intern will predominantly support the Nursing Informatics Community and the Informatics Team by creating and executing the community communication deliverables and supporting the development of content.  The Informatics Intern will additionally support the HIMSS enterprise and in doing so and learn the internal aspects of association work.

Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree (either undergraduate of Junior or Senior level or graduate) in Health Informatics (preferred)
• Must have a 3.2 or higher GPA
• Available 12-15 hours per week
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications
• A strong interest in the advancement of the Informatics discipline
