Position Purpose:

 

In the role of Senior Business Development Manager, APAC, your primary responsibility is to identify and secure funding for digital health related research projects in APAC. This role involves engaging with HIMSS stakeholders, including governments, healthcare organizations, and technology companies, to sell and promote media research that supports digital transformation in healthcare. Your tasks will include, but are not limited to, understanding partner objectives, proposing tailored media research solutions, and ensuring these initiatives align with the overall goals of digital health advancement in the region. You will report to the Business Development Director and contribute significantly to the media research aspects of digital health projects in APAC region.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to secure digital transformation projects in the government, pharmaceutical and health tech sectors in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Leverage experience in media sales, particularly within the government, pharmaceuticals, and health tech sectors, to secure funding and forge key partnerships.
  • Actively seek and secure government funding opportunities to support digital transformation research initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, industry leaders in pharmaceuticals and health tech, leveraging experience in public sector sales.
  • Analyze market trends to identify opportunities and trends in digital transformation research.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Director and Managing Editor to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring the achievement of sales target and objectives.
  • Utilize deep understanding of public sector dynamics and procurement processes.
  • Utilize expertise in pharmaceutical or health tech sales to enhance sales strategies and project outcomes in health technology

Other Functions:

  • All duties as assigned to achieve HIMSS goals and objectives.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned that contribute to the effectiveness of the department and to accomplish strategic goals and objectives.

What you will need to be successful:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in sales related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in media sales, with a focus on the public/technology/pharmaceutical industries.
  • Proven ability to secure government funding and managing sales in the public sector.
  • Understanding of digital health market and trends will be advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and strategic relationship-building skills.
