Position Purpose:

 

The main objective of the Business Development Manager is to aggressively pursue growth opportunities in event sponsorship, media sales, and corporate membership within the Asia-Pacific region. This entails the development of comprehensive sales strategies and the tactical execution of action plans to achieve the sales revenue goals and contribute to the broader business development activities of HIMSS in the APAC region.

Primary Accountabilities (but not limited to):

  • All duties as assigned to support achievement of HIMSS Asia Pacific strategic goals and objectives.
  • Assist the Business Development Director in defining revenue goals and budgets.
  • Develop action plans to acquire prospects and achieve revenue goals for all HIMSS products.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client accounts by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure fulfillment and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure adherence to all organization policies.
  • Produce proposals, contracts, reports, and customized communications.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in sales related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience; experience in sales with experience using Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical skills with ability to achieve accurate results in a complex environment
  • Ability to think critically
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Customer focused with assertive, self-confident personality
  • Superior planning skills, both strategic and tactical
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships
