Your Challenge:

The purpose of the Paid Media Associate is to help drive HIMSS growth and success via digital platforms. This position is an integral part of the development and management of an effective digital strategy and analysis to improve marketing performance across HIMSS social platforms, HIMSS-related campaigns, and global live events (including the HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition).


Essential Functions:

  • Support the development of measurable digital paid media campaigns across social media, SEM, display, and emerging media channels in support of go-to-market activities
  • Research SEO keywords to use throughout the company's website and marketing materials
  • Monitor daily metrics to understand SEO performance and measure campaign value
  • Assess opportunities to reach untapped audiences and drive conversions
  • Provide analysis and recommend adjustments of budget, creative, messaging and channel strategy based on key performance indicators
  • Use A/B testing to standardize methodologies for paid media content types and distribution channels
  • Adapt and enhance our programmatic features to capitalize on changing market conditions
  • Leverage paid media to evangelize efforts and success stories of HIMSS thought leaders

What you will need to be successful:

  • Up to three (3) years of experience using paid digital advertising strategies to engage and understand audiences in a marketing context
  • Experience with landing page optimization strategies and SEO
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods, and knowledge of keyword research and data mining tools
  • Collaboration with others within the marketing department to manage SEO strategy
  • Experience with social media campaign creation, tracking, tagging, testing, and marketing analytics across platforms, tools and ad managers such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Google, DSPs, etc. (Google Certified Professional preferred)
  • Background using SEO tools such as MOZ Pro and SEM Rush
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (email, phone, etc.)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of digital marketing concepts, specifically social, web, and email
