This role drives sales growth both directly and indirectly across HIMSS’s European and Middle Eastern operations. The role managers portfolio of key accounts and leads on sponsors/exhibitor sales for the European Conference. 


Essential Functions:

  • Leads on European Conference sales
    • Develops product suite, sales prospectus, targets and goals for the European Conference in collaboration with the Sales Director. Develops and actions a sales plan to support the targets.
    • Collaborates with sales colleagues to sell opportunities.
    • Tracks progress of European Conference opportunities in Salesforce.com.
    • Collaborates with fulfilment team to ensure execution and client satisfaction.
    • Creates sales updates and progress reports for the management team.
  • Grows sales of EMEA events, media, and corporate membership and DHTPs
    • Establishes and develops relationships with existing and new clients through tele sales and face-to-face meetings, to understand their priorities and challenges.
    • Creates compelling programs for our clients in collaboration with the Key Accounts managers in Europe and the United States.
    • Tracks and manages pipeline and customer engagement daily (through Salesforce.com).
    • Works with the sales fulfilment team to generate contracts and ensure professional service delivery of their clients’ projects.


What you will need to be successful:

  • The curiosity to learn, listen and understand how technology and information can improve healthcare outcomes for all of us
  • Demonstrates gravitas, drive and leadership.
  • Comfortable with senior level relationships both internally and client-side. Able to identify decision makers and find new opportunities.
  • Strong listener who loves to interact with customers. Appetite to identify solutions for customers. Proud and confident to follow through to sales.
  • At least 4 years' experience in a b2b sales role, preferably in Exhibition/Sponsorship sales.
  • Relevant Healthcare-related experience (pharma, life sciences, hospitals, supplier, etc).
  • Highly articulate in English language, both written and oral.
