Your Challenge: Accelerate is looking for a Content Designer with a user’s mindset and a designer’s lens to plan and develop intuitive, succinct, and relevant copy that guides users through the digital platform. You’ll straddle front-end and back-end, solving complex content problems and leading copy initiatives, audits and copy governance. This is a role for someone who likes to collaborate with product and design, is proactive and highly organized, and thrives on working in a fast-paced, start-up environment. This role reports to the Content Strategy Lead.

The things that you will tackle:

  • Work lockstep with UX designers across every step of the development process to ensure users can complete tasks and find the information they need in the most natural way possible.
  • Craft clear and succinct product copy that facilitates user needs and tasks, including navigational elements and labels, CTAs, promos, error messages, empty states, onboarding and instructional materials, and other components of the end-to-end user experience.
  • Manage on-site tagging for SEO and AI.
  • Evaluate feedback (internal reviews, feedback forms, surveys, user testing, etc.), develop insights, and activate them for content triage and iteration.
  • Write for a variety of products and mediums (mobile, web, etc.) for B2B & B2C audiences.
  • Collaborate with product, design, UX, marketing operations (support and engagement), and legal to assess project needs and assist with messaging.
  • Maintain consistency of brand tone and style across all platform elements.
  • Stay current on UX and content trends for competitors within the sphere.
  • Edit and proof work to ensure high standards are met across all content outputs.

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Communications.
  • 3+ years of experience writing or editing content for digital products, web sites and/or mobile experiences, as a content strategist, UX writer, or similar.
  • Strong creative thinking skills, as well as the ability to think conceptually and make the complex simple.
  • Empathetic, analytical, and collaborative.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, especially in language, style, grammar, and flow.
  • Ability to strike a balance between what the users want from products and what the product designers are trying to sell or emphasize.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Jira, Miro, and Figma.
  • Excellent portfolio of work.
  •  Experience with Content Management Systems (Contentful, Drupal, WordPress, etc.) required. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (SAP Litmos, Open edX, Google Classroom, etc.) a plus.

Why we love HIMSS, and why you will, too:

  • Diverse, collaborative, and winning team environment.
  • Flexible working arrangements, opportunity to work 100% remote.
  • Competitive pay and comprehensive healthcare coverage.
  • Generous paid time off, including time off to volunteer!
  • Wellbeing programs to support all of your emotional, physical and financial needs.
  • Emphasis on continuous learning and development.

Are you a Changemaker?

Together, we’ll do amazing things for healthcare.
