Your Challenge: The Product Manager, Mobile is responsible for setting and managing the product roadmap and guiding the other teams and stakeholder through to success. Collaboratively shape the future of current new products: lead side by side with design and engineering team members to define and deliver solutions. Ensures the business’ ability to deliver the right solution to the market by managing the four key aspects of a product: Value, Usability, Feasibility, and Business Viability.

 

The position may also include marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities. Will work with sales, marketing, and support to ensure revenue and user goals are met. The Product Manager provides deep product expertise needed to make strategic product decisions. They often analyze market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. 

 

In this position, you will get to work across products and sectors to build out the best possible mobile app experience for our professional users. We are in the process of unifying the product portfolio and completely redesigning/rewriting a mobile App for the same. That means you will be responsible for transforming how our mobile apps are designed and developed – defining the capabilities of our mobile application framework, designing the information architecture for our experience, and driving efforts across the business unit to build performant, on-the-go experiences for our popular apps. You will coordinate with other product managers and product leaders and act as an internal and external mobile app expert and evangelist.

 

The things that you will tackle:

  • Lead and partner with other product managers, designers, engineers, data scientists, analysts, and product marketers to execute cross-product and cross-functional initiatives and guide the product team through the entire lifecycle of a product from discovery to delivery
  • Gather and prioritize product and customer requirements and defining the product vision
  • Suggest and participate in the decision-making process when considering new product offerings
  • Identifying synergies between product roadmaps and facilitate a collective implementation
  • Working closely with the Product Leader in defining the long-term strategy for HIMSS platform (synergies and opportunities, risks and challenges, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop an understanding and awareness of industry trends, influencing product vision, and roadmap
  • Developing and maintaining KPIs and quantitative measures of product success that are understandable both by internal & external stakeholders of varying organizational levels
  • Collaborating closely with clients to gain a deep understanding of their needs, identify product gaps, and generate new ideas whilst being comfortable challenging where needed
  • Assessing the ROI of initiatives to determine which would be most impactful and prioritize opportunities accordingly
  • Work directly with an agile engineering team to participate in sprints, lead story time, develop features and produce releases
  • Collaborate with the sales and go-to-market teams to drive the field and customer engagement plans, including early adopter programs

What you will need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering or related field. MBA is a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in technical product management with success and experience managing mobile platforms, with history of shipping high scale consumer digital products, ideally native apps across mobile
  • An understanding of the unique technical and design constraints and opportunities with mobile applications
  • Experience with React Native or similar technology
  • A love for user experience and design and creating a high-valued B2C digital products
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, QA, customer support, marketing, user experience across various time zones
  • Demonstrated ability to collect and analyze input from multiple sources (customers, sales, engineering, other product managers, competitors, marketing and management)
  • Superior written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to listen carefully and to communicate effectively within a diverse environment
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills, with superb attention to detail and an emphasis on structured problem-solving
  • Experience of social networks, digital health, or healthcare apps, is a plus
